The terms, in the order you will need them.
These cover the hosted sync service at sync.gt7-datalogger.com. By signing in or pointing a logger at it, you agree to them. The datalogger itself is separate software under its own open-source licence, and a copy of the service that somebody else hosts is theirs to set terms for.

A free service, run by one person, with no guarantees.
The service is run by one person, JB, as a hobby. It costs you nothing. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Polyphony Digital or Sony; Gran Turismo and the names of its circuits and cars belong to their owners.
It is provided as it is. It may be slow, wrong, unavailable, changed or switched off, with or without notice, and data you have uploaded may be lost. Do not make it the only copy of anything you care about — your logger keeps its own.
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service or from its being unavailable. Nothing here limits a right that the law where you live does not allow to be limited.
One person, one account, and tokens you look after.
- You sign in through GitHub, Discord or Google, and must be allowed to use whichever you choose. You must be at least 13, or older if that provider or the law where you live requires it.
- An account is for one person. Do not create several to make a survey look independently confirmed — that is the one thing the map’s checks depend on.
- A connection string contains a token that can upload as you. Keep it to your own loggers, and revoke it from your profile if it gets out. What is uploaded with your token is treated as uploaded by you.
- Your display name can be shown in public beside a stream or session you publish, and beside the track surveys you contributed if you turn track credit on. Do not use it to impersonate somebody or to be abusive.
Your laps stay yours. Your surveys become everybody’s.
Sessions and live streams are yours. You allow the service to store and show them to you, and to anyone else only where you have made them public. You can take that back by making them private or deleting them.
Track surveys are a contribution to a public map. When you switch track uploads on, you agree that each survey may be reviewed, combined with other people’s, and published in the track-data repository under CC0 1.0 — dedicated to the public domain, for anyone to use for anything. Once published that cannot be undone, and surveys are kept if you later delete your account. Only upload surveys your own logger recorded from your own driving.
A survey may be held for review, rejected, or left unmerged. Nothing obliges the service to publish what you send.
The privacy page says exactly what is stored, who can see it and how long it is kept.
What not to do.
- Do not upload fabricated, edited or deliberately misleading data, or anything that is not what the logger recorded.
- Do not try to get around the upload limits, the rate limits, or the rule that one person counts once.
- Do not attack the service, probe it for weaknesses without asking first, overload it, or use it to reach anyone else’s account or data.
- Do not use it to break the law, or to break the terms of the game or of the provider you signed in with.
- Do not scrape other people’s public sessions or streams to build a profile of them.
If you find a security problem, please report it privately through GitHub’s security advisory form rather than in public.
Ending things, from either side.
You can stop at any time: switch the data types off in your logger, revoke your tokens, or delete your account from Profile → Account. The privacy page describes what deletion removes and what stays.
The operator may reject an upload, end a live stream, disable an account or remove data where these terms are broken, where the data looks wrong, or where it is needed to keep the service running or affordable. Where practical you will be told why.
Donations are gifts.
The service is free, and what it costs to run is published. A donation through GitHub Sponsors is a gift towards that bill. It buys no feature, no priority and no promise that the service continues, and it is handled entirely by GitHub under GitHub’s terms.
When these change, and where to ask.
These terms may change as the service does. The date at the top changes with them, and carrying on using the service after a change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using it and delete your account.
